Kevin Kabambi, born in 1999 in Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of the Congo, where he currently lives and works, is a visual artist primarily focused on photography. 

He sees photography as a tool for exploration, documentation, and reflection on memory, identity, and history. His work reflects on the changes within Congolese society and how individual and collective histories influence identities. 

Over time, he has developed an interest in archives as artistic resources that reveal narratives, traces, and memories. His art mainly investigates how spaces, identity, heritage, and memory transform, using photography, archival images, and other visual arts to explore the lingering impacts of colonialism on Congolese society, especially regarding perceptions of space, identity, beliefs, and cultural legacies. 

He’s a member of the Kiviringo Space collective and co-founder of the Mampala Foto Lubumbashi festival—an event dedicated to contemporary photography and image discussion.
