Visa — Obtaining an invitation letter
If you need a visa to enter the Democratic Republic of the Congo, please contact our team to obtain an official invitation letter for your visa application.

Invitation letter fee: USD 20, to be reimbursed to us upon arrival.
Once you have received your invitation letter, make an appointment at the Embassy or Consulate of the Democratic Republic of the Congo in your country or city of residence to complete the necessary visa application procedures.
Getting to Lubumbashi
Lubumbashi is served by several international flight routes, including connections from Brussels, Paris, and Rome. Routes vary by season and airline.

Getting Around Lubumbashi
Picha Art Center is the central hub of the Biennale and a good starting point for exploring the program’s different venues.
Exhibitions and events are spread across several locations throughout Lubumbashi. The venues are relatively close to one another, but we recommend planning your transportation according to the day’s program.
Yango operates in Lubumbashi and can be used for most journeys. Cash payment is possible. Please note that the price displayed in the app may not correspond to the final fare. It is therefore recommended to carry some extra cash.
Taxis are also widely available throughout the city. As with any city you are visiting for the first time, we recommend checking with the Biennale team before travelling to areas you are unfamiliar with.

All exhibitions and Biennale activities are free and open to the public, unless specified otherwise in the program.
