Jenny Kongolo Munyongamayi, better known as Jenny MunyongaSlam, is a Congolese slam poet, author, artist, and cultural organizer, born in 2003 in Lubumbashi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo. She trained through the We’Art Slam workshops in Lubumbashi, bringing her poetry to the stage while continually exploring new modes at the crossroads of spoken word, performance, and installation art.

In 2024, she showcased Slam augmenté at the 8th Lubumbashi Biennale, a hybrid piece that combines sound recordings, text, and experimental video to highlight the environmental and social impacts of mining-related toxicity on local communities. Her work often revisits themes such as transmission, memory, and societal issues, with a particular focus on women’s status, societal realities in Katanga, and questions of lineage.

That same year, she published Éminent Parcours and Mon Moi dans Ton Toi with Calures Publishing and co-edited the anthology À l’aube d’une nouvelle génération.
