Edmond Salumu Kambo, based in Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of the Congo, is an author, choreographer, and performer whose work fuses urban culture with spiritual elements.

He examines the connections among the body, youth, memory, and social realities. In his art, movement serves as a tool for inquiry and experimentation—a subtle language that both reveals and questions individual and collective experiences often hidden from view.

Kambo also dedicates himself to teaching young people and working with vulnerable children, which enriches his artistic outlook. He sees the body and movement as means of learning, connection, and self-growth. He is currently developing LUFI LULOBA – La Mort du Silence, his debut professional choreographic work, selected for the Ateliers Picha at the 2026 Lubumbashi Biennale. This piece continues his exploration of memory, silence, transformation, and how personal and shared experiences shape the body.
