Based in the Democratic Republic of the Congo

Birongo Ngosa Djuma is a dancer and performer from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, born in 2001 in Goma, an area long affected by conflict.

He studied at École des Sables in Senegal on a 2023–2024 scholarship, mentored by notable artists like Germaine Acogny and Alessandra Seutin. He has performed nationally and internationally in numerous productions, including the Amani Festival in Goma and projects such as Kwibuka in Rwanda, Étrangers Chez Moi in Lubumbashi, and Kiti at the Ubumuntu Festival in Kigali.

Beyond his artistic activities, Djuma works with children in the Mungunga camps, leading educational activities with organizations like UNICEF and Goma Actif. In 2025, he moved to Lubumbashi, became an associate artist at Lbkamitestudios, and drew inspiration from his experiences of war and exile to create his debut piece, “Mkimbizi, Endless Home,” directed by Meli Sikiaba Lambick.
