Sarah Mukadi Kadima (1994, Kolwezi) lives and works in Lubumbashi. Dancer, performer, educator, she runs the independent art school and space Khadi in the popular neighborhood of Gécamines, a popular space for the youth living in the area. In her early age she was influenced by hip hop culture choreography. She started her career with the French institute in Lubumbashi, which promoted her work through several tournées in the country. She developed different workshops on contemporary and traditional dance in Africa in DRC rural areas. She participated in Ateliers Picha in 2017 and won a fellowship of “Yolé Africa” and the University of Nottingham Award in 2019. She is a brilliant dancer who uses artistic research as a tool to find histories of women. She is developing at Picha the first feminist library of the country.
