Jenny Feal was born in 1991 in Havana, Cuba. She lives and works between Havana and Lyon (France).. A graduate of the National Academy of Fine Arts San Alejandro (2009), Feal studied at ISA (Cuba) where she was part of the collective 4ta Pragmática Pedagógica. She then graduated from the École Supérieure d'Art et de Design Marseille-Méditerranée (2013), and obtained a Master's degree from the École Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Lyon (2016). Winner of the Renaud Prize in 2016 for her installation Te imaginas, her works have been exhibited in important places such as the Havana Biennial (2012, 2015 and 2019), the Palais de Tokyo in Paris (2014), La Villa Medici in Rome (2015), The House of Books, Image and Sound in Villeurbanne (2017), The Hollow of Hell (2017), The European House of Photography in Paris (2017), The Salomon Foundation in Annecy (2017), The Green Art Gallery in Dubai (2018), Centro de arte contemporáneo Wifredo Lam in Havana (2018), Elac in Lyon (2018), La Galerie Hangar in Lubumbashi (2018), La Galerie Dohyang Lee (2019, 2020, 2021), at the Musée d'art contemporain de Lyon during the Biennale d'art contemporain de Lyon (2019), and at the Martell Corporate Foundation in Cognac ((2021-2022).. Currently she is preparing a personal exhibition at the Dohyang Lee Gallery in Paris.
