Visual artist, Sarah Ndele lives and works in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Kinshasa in 2013.
Installation, performance or writing; Sarah is the kind of artist who expresses herself through different mediums. Her work questions the memory, root and present of education or initiation among the "Bakongo" (in western DRC). The anti-colonial revolutionary and prophetess Kimpa Vita (1684-1706) is her main source of inspiration. Thus, she conducts research in Kongo art.
She has participated in several cultural and artistic events such as the International Festival of Performance Art and Plastic Art of Togo (2022), Yango Biennale 2, International Meeting of Performers, etc. She is the author of the article "Congo: fertile trees near the source" (Multitudes 2020/4, n°81, pp. 95-99).
